Please check with Easycab support to learn how to export a csv file from that program.
These instructions are based on information provided by CutList Plus customers who also use Easycab. Please let us know if corrections are needed.
There appear to be different file formats exported by Easycab, depending on what
version of that program you are using. Look at the csv file (you can open it with
notepad) to see if it has a header row. That will tell you which of the following
instructions to follow.
Instructions for csv file WITH header row
- Export a parts list from Easycab as a CSV file. Contact Easycab for instructions on this step.
- In CutList Plus, go to File>Import Parts... and select the CSV file you created in step 1.
- Set up the CutList Plus Import Wizard as shown below, then click "Finish".
Instructions for csv file WITHOUT header row
- Export a parts list from Easycab as a CSV file. Contact Easycab for instructions on this step.
- In CutList Plus, go to File>Import Parts... and select the CSV file you created in step 1.
- Set up the CutList Plus Import Wizard as shown below, then click "Finish".
- The import results will show that 1 line does not appear to be a part. That is the first line in the file, which lists customer information.
-
Since the data exported from EasyCab does not specify a material type for each part (i.e., rough lumber, dimensioned lumber or sheet good),
CutList Plus will figure it out based on your Raw Materials database. The default value is sheet good.
